Benishangul Gumuz is a regional state in northwestern Ethiopia bordering Sudan. It was previously known as Region 6. The Blue Nile Falls: Also known as Tis Issat, these majestic falls are often referred to as the “Smoking Water” due to the mist they create. They are just a short distance from the town of Bahir Dar and can be reached by boat or a short hike.
Gambela National Park: Located in the Gambela region of Benishangul-Gumuz, this park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, hippos, numerous bird species, and more. It’s a great place for wildlife enthusiasts and offers opportunities for safaris and birdwatching.
